Moving water has beauty and mystery in nature. It has a life all its own while it intersects with life around it. I wanted to explore flowing water but remove it from nature to present it as its own entity. Showcase its virtues and iniquities. Remind us that water ought to be treated with respect as one of life's most precious resources. While water may be a basis for all living things, it also is dangerous, capable of destruction and the passing of life.

Water rarely sits still. About 71% of the Earth’s surface is water-covered, and the oceans hold about 96.5% of all Earth’s water. The human body is 65% water, give or take. Water exists in the air as humidity, in rivers and lakes, in icecaps and glaciers, in the ground as soil moisture, in most living creatures.

Water is beautiful. I hope my images highlight some of that beauty.
