The remoteness and beauty of Yukon Territory is breathtaking. The tremendous length of the highway, combined with this remoteness and the extremes of the Northern climate, often result in surprises along this highway. During my time there I spoke with several people who were travelling the entire distance of highway via RV. What a road trip! If you look to the upper stretch of highway in the photograph, you’ll see a lone vehicle approaching. I had to ensure I was off the road in good order so as not to surprise the driver travelling towards me at highway speeds.
