RED AND BROWN HUES OF GEOLOGICAL ROCK.

Part of the Canadian Shield, Cascades Conservation Area (Thunder Bay, ON) is but a sliver of the 8 million square km (3 million square miles) of rock spread over eastern, central, and northwestern Canada into the U.S.A.

Cascades Conservation Area is a great choice for a quiet hike in the beautiful poplar and birch forest. Two highlights for many people is the spectacular rapids along the Current River and the various geological formations in the area.
