Love how shadows dance across the surface of the Boreal Forest. And, green moss is already taking hold on tree roots above the soil.

Look closely and you'll witness snow in the background. We're experiencing an early spring thaw in Thunder Bay, Ontario (Canada). Other areas of the forest are ice-covered. This patch of land receives enough sunlight that the ice has now melted away.
