• Agriculture is important to Hungary's economy. Hungary produces wheat, corn, sunflower, potatoes, sugar beets, pigs, cattle, poultry, and dairy products.

Sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) is in the family of Asteraceae. It has a strong central root system and several rich side roots. Its stalk is strong and depending on the type it is 1.5-2.5 metres tall.

Sunflower is the one of the most important industrial crops in Hungary and has the highest annual production in the group of oil plants. The oil produced from sunflower is mainly used for food purposes, but is also an important raw material for margarine and soap manufacturing. The by-product arising after cold pressing is rich in proteins and is used as an animal feed. The sunflower ‘leftovers’ are important green fertilizers and feeding materials.
The Canadian National Exhibition (CNE), also known as "The Ex", is Canada's largest annual community event.

Founded in 1879, as the Toronto Industrial Exhibition, the CNE has enjoyed a distinguished history as a "showcase of the nation". It was "the place" where people came to experience the latest innovations in technology and commercial products as well as performances by many of the leading artists of the time. Although the CNE has changed over the years, it continues to be one of Ontario's great annual traditions.

The CNE is currently one of the 10 largest fairs in North America, and its audience truly reflects the diversity of Toronto and the region.

In 2014, the CNE attracted 1.43 million visitors over the 18 days of the fair.

 • The John Price Soft-Mud Press was originally used at the John Price Brickyard from 1912 until 1962. It is identified as the most historically significant piece of machinery in the Evergreen Brick Works due to its age, the process it represents and its association with a famous brick manufacturing firm.

Founded by John F. Taylor and his brothers William and George, the Don Valley Brick Works introduced new equipment to the operation enabling at the peak of production to produce 43 million bricks annually. Production innovation expanded in the following decades to make it the only plant in Ontario to produce soft-mud, stiff-mud and dry-press processes simultaneously.

During World War II German prisoners of war were used as labourers. The company changed hands numerous times, expanding operations and incorporating new technologies along the way. In the 1980s operations declined as the quarry's resources became exhausted. It closed in 1989.
